As a rule I think lables belong on food packaging and I dislike when they are applied to human beings. Labeling a person as this, that, or the other seems to be forcing them into a pigeon-hole in which they may well not fit perfectly. To assert, " A is a butch dyke therefore she wears dungarees, drives a truck, and is a dab hand at DIY" or that " B is a lipstick lesbian therefore she likes pink, totes a Prada handbag wherever she goes, and wears, um, well, lipstick a lot" is to denigrate the…

So I was in borders the other day going through the two shelf gay and lesbian section (what a disappointment) and came across an incredible book by an incredible lesbian author and national bestseller, Rita Mae Brown. I am nowhere near finished but I suggest to everyone to read the book entitled, 'RUBYFRUIT JUNGLE" by Rita Mae Brown. It's an easy read and she has been compared to another great author, Mark Twain who produced a great literary piece called "Huckleberry Finn"!
